We went ahead early on in a well worked short corner with Andy Hyder and 'Frankie' Fraser exchanging passes to allow Frankie to finish from close.
The goal seemed to wake the sleeping dragon in Bude who then came back into the game strong with quick passing and pacey attacks.
Unfortunately we went in at the break 3-1 down to Bude, after a hectic end to the first half and some nicely converted goals.
The game was there for the taking, and though we had our chances we couldn’t quite capitalise on the opportunities in the second half.
Several short corners didn’t quite go to plan and although we had sustained pressure for periods we couldn’t find our Saint George to slay the dragon.
Two more second half strikes from Bude flattered them with the final score line at 5-1 not reflective of the effort of the team as a whole.
Donkey of the Day was tied between Geoff Flowers and Frankie Fraser with Geoff forgetting his smock and shorts and Frankie scoring an unfortunate own goal.
