Push back started with both teams eager and keen to put their stamp on the game.
After several attempts in the D, unfortunately for DS the virtual force field around the goal was continuing. After some controversy from the umpires, decisions were made which made an early lead impossible.
However, the girls kept their heads and with continuous rotation of Hannah, Talia and Bell, there was a continuous feed of fresh legs. No goals succeeded when the whistle blew for half time so strong team talks took place in both ends.
New half and new heads for the DS ladies but after several minutes both captains were called in due to the aggression and passion from both sides.
After a stiff talking to, both teams took back their positions and continued a more friendly and balanced game.
This was obviously what was needed as finally DS were rewarded a penalty flick. Despite Michelle missing, it was the pick up they needed and they could see the possibilities.
Soon enough two goals were conceived and positively was once again worn by all the players in the DS half.
Minutes before full time Teign gained their first point of the game totally 2-1 to DS. A great win all round.
