DSHC vs Ashmoor (6-0)

The ladies 2’s made our way up to Totnes (in the rain) to play against Ashmore. With only 11 players Em gave a pre match talk to get us ready for the game.

After waiting for the game before us to end, DS finally got on the pitch ready to play. We started off strong and got on top quick with a smashing goal from Michelle. Shortly after, with great work from midfield Chuggy got her first goal (an assist from me). The other team had a strong midfield but our defence stopped them from getting a goal. About halfway through the first half Michelle got a second goal with a great reverse strike. Then with a great pass from Michelle to me and an even better pass from me to Chuggy (on the volley) Chuggy got her second goal. Goal of the season worthy. After more attacks from both teams DS got a short corner. I injected to top D and a pass to Em, she hit the ball on the reverse right past the goalie.

At half time we had a quick snack, oranges, and a team talk we went into the second half with our heads in the game.

Going into the second half 5-0 up we were ready for Ashmore to really attack the goal however our defence and Hannah kept them from scoring. Both teams were playing well. DS got quite a few short corners but we couldn’t get it past the keeper. Michelle had a great run, skilled the goalie it was sure to be another goal but the defender cleared the ball off the line. The end of the game was near however we still wanted more goals. I received the ball at top D passed it to Sam who hit the ball right through the keepers legs (another assist from me).

Finally the end whistle was blown and we won 6-0! Well done, everyone played very well.
